Harlem Afternoon Jazz Series

The Harlem Afternoon Jazz Series is artistically directed by Craig Harris, a trombonist, composer and longtime Harlem resident. Harris has been a major figure in the Harlem jazz scene since 1976. He has performed throughout the USA and abroad with some of the genre's most important figures.

Every Tuesday afternoon starting November 4, 2014, Harlem will play host to some of today's most talented jazz musicians while paying tribute to history's greatest jazz music. And YOU'RE invited! 1st set: Noon – 12:45pm (15-min break) 2nd set: 1:00 – 1:45.  The price is $15.

Concertgoers will spend each Tuesday afternoon surrounded by the cool vibrations of jazz as they are soothed and invigorated by seemingly magical strings and horns. This is an event for all of the senses, and it is meant to be both mentally and spiritually uplifting. The series will take place at Rendall Memorial Presbyterian Church, 59 West 137th Street, New York, NY 10037. House doors open at 11:30 a.m. every Tuesday.
